For those of you who need some good news about Jonathan ... click on the "Photo Gallery/Galerie de photos" button to the left, scroll to the bottom of that page and click on the "Just for Fun / Seulement pour l'amusement" link.  There you'll find two new, silly pictures of Jonathan.  What a crack-up that guy is!  The new photos were taken in Sweden before his injury.  Enjoy!  Also, the photo albums of the World Championships in Sweden will be up shortly.  Thanks to all who have contributed photographs!

JUST ASK JO
Thursday, April 1st, 2004

The first big news of April is that Jonathan's his sister, Nathalie, wrote to say that he returned home safely, wearing a custom-made back brace that held his back firmly in place for the plane ride home.  His father, André, has rented a hospital bed for a month and Jonathan will rest in it at his parents' house during his recovery.  She said that Jo met with his doctor yesterday (who operated on the broken femur back in 1999) and that they are now awaiting his medical opinion.

Jonathan said that since he won't be doing much for awhile, he's eager to answer any questions that we may have, which leads me to news item number two:

He has agreed to grant an interview to the site!  Have you ever wanted to ask him something about his skating?  His training?  The Olympics?  What he does on his day off?  If there are any questions that you would like to ask, please submit them to info@JonathanGuilmette.com.  All non-invasive, appropriate questions will be forwarded to him in the interview.  Please send as many as you would like, and check the Interviews / Entrevues page to see if your question has already been asked.

Also, for those who have been asking, he's working on the translations of his journal entries into French this weekend.

Last, it's just about puppy time!  Last fall, Jonathan and Amélie purchased an unborn puppy from the only breeder in Québec who breeds the kind they want.  And it will be born this spring!  Want a hint about what kind of dog it is?  To quote Jonathan, "It's kind of an athlete dog.  They're really fit.  I think it's the dog that looks the most like me. Very skinny and fast!"  It's good to see that he hasn't lost his sense of humor.  Stay tuned for more details.
