Well, congratulations are in order. On Saturday,
June 19, Jonathan was awarded the Marc Gagnon Male Athlete of the Year at Speed Skating Canada's annual general meeting.
Some reasons cited in their press release for the award were these: a Silver medal in the 1500m at the World Championships
in Sweden, helping Canada to a silver at the Team Worlds and placing first in the world team trials standings.
A well deserved award to be certain! Congratulations, Jonathan!

did Jonathan win in the 500m?
