 This was a bizarre competition, filled
with disqualifications. Jonathan was DQ'd in the 1500m in his first round on the ice. Then in the 500m final,
Ahn Hyun-soo was DQ'd, moving Jo up from silver to gold. As if that wasn't enough, in the 1000m, Apolo Anton
Ohno was DQ'd (even though he crossed the line first) and this moved Jonathan up from bronze to silver! He took
4th in an exciting 3000m that consisted of (in order of crossing the line) Lee Seung-Jae, Jean François Monette, Ahn Hyun-soo,
himself, Apolo Ohno and Li Ye. Then Team Canada finished the competion with a 4th place finish in the relay. All
tolled, a great show by Jonathan, and he finished the competion second overall. When asked how he felt about the competion
and the way he won his medals through DQ's, he said while smiling, "It's nice to come across the line first, but I'll take
it. They're good wins, and I think I do well in Canada. Last year in Chicoutimi I won gold, and here
I won gold and silver, too. So I'll take it!" Hey, so will we! Congratulations on skating so well!
